I will have two sculptures on display from June 11-August 15
at the Aurora Public Art Commission Gallery, located at
20 E. Downers Place in downtown Aurora, IL.
The exhibit, entitled DreamCycles, will have its opening reception on
Friday June 11 from 5:00-7:30 pm. I hope to see you there.
If you visit the gallery, be sure to check out the three gargoyle benches
I carved for the sculpture park, on the West side of the building.
For more info, visit the
City of Aurora
arts site.

My friend Kyle Smith is a sculptor who has been living in Italy for 30 years.
Together with her partner Dado Bigoni and her two children,
she restored her centuries old home and studio and converted it into the
Almora bed and breakfast, utilizing eco-compatible materials for both the building
and the furnishings. They achieved a beautiful balance of modern amenities
with the original rustic Tuscan atmosphere. You should
visit this summer.

I just finished a large bas relief of Emperor Trajan. It is 38" (almost 1 meter)
in diameter and weighs about 450 lbs. It was inspired by a high relief sculpture
on the Convento San Marcos in Leon, Spain. It will be installed in a stone wall
in a private garden in Canada. I will oversee the installation this summer.

Subscriber Francisco Calle from Spain photographed many gargoyles in his
country, and has posted dozens of them on Flickr.
He has also published books on the gargoyles of the Cathedrals of
Oviedo La Asuncion de Coria San Antolin de Palencia. Learn more on his
website.
