They are accompanied by these animals, who appear to have been transplanted from another building.

This owl is under the window sill- you have to look up to discover the marvels these old buildings contain.
The pilaster capitals, including the one shown below, have an eagle incorporated in their design.

The Devonian Gardens is a 2.5 acre indoor park occupying several floors of a commercial building in downtown Calgary. There are many sculptures among the plantings, and carved wood masks by wood sculptor Tom Ward.
