Kovler Gymnasium gargoyle benches:
I have carved 3 limestone benches to go in the hallway of this new gym. Each bench has two athletic gargoyles as legs, supporting a six foot stone seat.

  Small model for tennis bench
I made small models before carving some of the figures. This model for the tennis player. is available in my Gargoyle Store.

The sports represented are tennis, baseball, golf, track running, soccer and weightlifting.

The students approved of the bench. The bench installed and ready for action.
Installation of this first bench took place in Dec. 2001. The students watched and pronounced it "cool". The remaining two were installed in Oct. 2002.

Soccer Player and Weightlifter

You can see more of my carvings for this building on my Lab School Sports Panel page. I created 13 relief carvings of student athletes and a 6'6" tall shield, all installed on the exterior of the gym.
