There are many rooms that call for a simple, clean, mantel design. What makes Walter's collection of stone fireplace mantels stand out over others is that his are never mass-produced. Even Walter's most basic fireplace surrounds are carefully tailored to the particular client's vision of the room they are creating. After design consultations, Walter personally selects the stone. He works with various American and European limestones. His marble almost exclusively comes from Italy. Walter's fireplacess can not be compared with mass-produced factory fireplaces, many of which are made of "cast stone"—a type of cast cement.
