Description: This BearGoyle, surrounded by flowers of springtime, was carved as a bozzetto, a model for a large gargoyle. Usually a bozzetto is very rough, but I enjoyed this piece so much that I got into carving the fine details of the flowers and facial features. Note the deep undercutting and the little bee carved in the naturalistic flowers by his right cheek.
